The Grammy Museum is thrilled to welcome award-winning artist Normani and trailblazing music manager Lydia Asrat to the Museum's intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater to discuss Normani's music, career, and their collaboration, plus a brief performance from Normani. ABOUT NORMANI Normani is a multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, dancer, and philanthropist best known for her repeated chart-topping pop/R&B hits and unshakable anthems spiked with style, soul, and spirit. The New Orleans/Texas-raised multi-hyphenate rose to international fame as a member of pop juggernaut Fifth Harmony, performing to sold-out arenas, gathering awards, and releasing a string of multi-platinum hits. In 2018, she kickstarted her solo career with the quintuple-platinum “Love Lies” [feat. Khalid] and shortly thereafter released the quadruple-platinum “Dancing With A Stranger” with Sam Smith - marking her spot as a one to watch solo artist breaking out with two Top 10 bows on the Billboard Top 200 within a year. Her trajectory of success continued with subsequent hit singles “Motivation” (Platinum), “Diamonds” [with Megan Thee Stallion], and “Wild Side” [feat. Cardi B] – the latter of which ascended to #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop charts. In between tallying billions of streams, she has garnered six BMI Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Variety Hitmaker Award, and a Soul Train Music Award. Most recently, after much anticipation, Normani released her debut album, "Dopamine," featuring collaborations with artists such as Gunna, James Blake, and Cardi B, and blending pop and R&B genres, perfectly encapsulating her musical evolution. Despite her worldwide catapult to fame, Normani has stayed true to her roots, giving back at every turn. She is the Diversity Ambassador for The Cybersmile Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to tackling all forms of cyberbullying and online abuse, as well as a Global Ambassador for the American Cancer Society. ABOUT LYDIA ASRAT Lydia Asrat stands at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the music industry as the Founder and CEO of 10Q Management. A trailblazer of Ethiopian descent, she has carved out a powerful space in a field long dominated by men, earning recognition as both a visionary executive and a creative force. Renowned for her unmatched ability to identify and cultivate star talent, Lydia is best known for discovering and developing global icons like Doja Cat and breakout sensation Coco Jones. Her achievements span from Grammy-nominated songwriter to acclaimed A&R and manager, with honors including Forbes 30 Under 30, Billboard’s Women in Music Top Executives (2022), Billboard’s Power List 2022, Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players 2021, and Variety Hitmakers (2020, featured on the 2021 cover and included in the 2022 list), and receiving BMI Song of The Year at 2021 R&B/Hip Hop Awards, She has also been recognized as one of Mefeater Magazine’s Women to Watch and appeared on major industry stages including Create & Cultivate Fest 2025, Career Jam 2024 at Berklee College of Music, and a fi reside chat at Women in Music LA in 2024. Beyond music, Lydia has been a trusted partner in building cross-industry visibility through brand partnerships with Grey Goose, Essence Fest, Olay, Bumble, Shea Moisture, Pure Leaf, SKIMS, and more. Lydia was pivotal in securing Normani’s partnership with Airbnb as well as a global campaign and commercial with Coach x Vogueworld campaign/commercial #VogueWorld. Her joint venture publishing company, Lost + Found (in partnership with Warner Chappell), underscores her continued commitment to fostering creativity and innovation. With an unwavering dedication to excellence and a relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries, Lydia Asrat continues to redefine the landscape of music management and publishing—paving the way for a new generation of artists and executives to dream boldly and pursue their passions with fearless determination.
