The Metamorphosis follows Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman who has spent years working to pay off his family’s debts, and who wakes up one morning transformed into an insect. Underneath the surreal premise is a profound exploration of alienation, guilt, and family dynamics. Join in dissecting this classic 🖤 Flow for the afternoon: ∙ 4:00–4:30 — Arrival, getting settled, free flowing conversation ∙ 4:30–5:15 — Guided group discussion ∙ 5:15–6:00 — Open discussion, mingling, and free flowing conversation The book club is and will always be free. We’re offering a pay what you can option for anyone who feels moved to contribute. Every donation goes directly toward building more intentional gatherings for this community. We document these gatherings in photo and video, some of it becomes content. By attending, you’re okay with appearing in that work. If you’d rather stay out of frame, just tell us at the door.

We Bring: 🌳 A picnic setup in the park Blankets, fresh air, a cute playlist (if you don’t like the music, blame it on Spotify) 🎨 Communal Art supplies Everything you need to get started - paper, pencils, pastels, watercolors, and more You Bring: ✨Yourself All levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals ☀️ Weather Gear Please bring sunscreen, coats, or whatever else Mother Nature is demanding of us 🥤 Snacks + drinks Bring anything you want to nibble on or sip 🖼️ Your own project if you have one If you’re working on something, please bring it! This beats making something alone in a dark room The Logistics How to Find Us Don’t want to walk up sheepishly to the wrong picnic blanket? Before the event, we'll send all attendees a message with our exact location within the park. Look for the blankets, the art supplies, and the people who look very happy to be outside.
